Ingredients

  • Chickpeas: 3/4 Cup

  • Nutritional Yeast: 1/4 Cup

  • Garlic Powder: 2 tsp

  • Onion Powder: 2 tsp

  • All Spice: 1/4 tsp

  • Coriander, ground: 1/4 tsp

  • Oregano: 1/2 tsp

  • Soy Sauce: 2 Tbs

  • Tomato Paste: 1/2 Cup

  • Paprika: 1 tsp

  • Cayenne Pepper: 1/4 tsp

  • Dijon Mustard: 1 Tbs

  • Vegetable Stock: 1/2 Cup

  • Liquid Smoke: 1/4 tsp

  • Vital Wheat Gluten: 1 3/4 Cup

  • Marinade
  • Soy Sauce: 1/4 Cup

  • Paprika: 1 tsp

  • Maple Syrup: 2 Tbs

  • Tomato Paste: 2 Tbs

  • Liquid Smoke: 1/8 tsp

Directions

  • Mix together all steak ingredients in a food processor.
  • Shape the seitan and then wrap in aluminum foil.
  • Steam for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from steam and foil and fry until browned.
  • Add marinade, and allow to marinate.
  • Cook until desired texture.
