In this video, I’m sharing a recipe from Love and Lemons, for a delicious plant-based, gluten-free veggie burger with a twist. I had to edit the original recipe in order to make it work. While it’s not my favorite burger, I know how frustrating it can be when your veggie burger falls apart, so I’ve made some tweaks to the recipe to ensure that it stays together without sacrificing any of the flavor. Love and Lemons Plant Based Gluten Free Veggie Burger with A Twist

Panko Bread Crumbs: 2 Cups
Brown Rice, cooked: 1 Cup
Flaxseed, ground: 1/2 Cup
Walnuts, chopped: 1/2 Cup
Sriracha Sauce: 1 Tbsp.
Smoked Paprika: 1/2 tsp.
Garlic Cloves: 4
Maple Syrup: 1/2 tsp.
Balsamic Vinegar: 2 Tbsp.
Tamari: 2 Tbsp.
Mushroom, portabella: 16 Oz.
Shallots, chopped: 2
Olive Oil: 2 Tbsp.
Directions
- Sautee the shallots, mushroom and garlic.
- Then add all other ingredients except: walnuts, flaxseed, bread crumbs, and rice.
- Add the walnuts, flaxseed and rice to a food processor and blend.
- Fold the ingredients together and add remaining bread crumbs.
- Shape the burgers and cook for about 5 minutes each side.
