Ingredients
Chickpeas: 3/4 Cup
Nutritional Yeast: 1/4 Cup
Garlic Powder: 2 tsp
Onion Powder: 2 tsp
All Spice: 1/4 tsp
Coriander, ground: 1/4 tsp
Oregano: 1/2 tsp
Soy Sauce: 2 Tbs
Tomato Paste: 1/2 Cup
Paprika: 1 tsp
Cayenne Pepper: 1/4 tsp
Dijon Mustard: 1 Tbs
Vegetable Stock: 1/2 Cup
Liquid Smoke: 1/4 tsp
Vital Wheat Gluten: 1 3/4 Cup
- Marinade
Soy Sauce: 1/4 Cup
Paprika: 1 tsp
Maple Syrup: 2 Tbs
Tomato Paste: 2 Tbs
Liquid Smoke: 1/8 tsp
Directions
- Mix together all steak ingredients in a food processor.
- Shape the seitan and then wrap in aluminum foil.
- Steam for 20 minutes.
- Remove from steam and foil and fry until browned.
- Add marinade, and allow to marinate.
- Cook until desired texture.
