Ingredients

  • Tofu Steak and Marinade
  • Tofu: 1 block

  • Garlic Powder: 1 Tbsp

  • Onion Powder: 1 Tbsp

  • Liquid Aminos: 1 Tbsp

  • Vegan Beef Base: 1 Tbsp

  • Nutritional Yeast: 2 Tbsp

  • Smoked Paprika: 1 tsp

  • Oil: 3 Tbsp

  • Toppings
  • Mushroom: 8 Oz

  • Vegenaise: to desire flavor

  • Pickles

  • Tomato: 1

  • Onion, yellow: 1

  • Peppers, your choice: 2

  • Vegan American Cheese Slices

  • BBQ Sauce (I recommend Sriracha BBQ)

  • Lettuce

Directions

  • Begin with mixing all tofu steak ingredients in a bowl except for the tofu.
  • Slice the tofu per video instructions, but basically large matchstick size.
  • Mix all the tofu with the marinade and let rest for 20 minutes.
  • Spread the marinated chicken on a sheet pan and cook for about 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • Brush off all dirt from the mushrooms and slice thin.
  • Saute mushrooms for about 5 minutes.
  • Prepare the peppers and onions and add to the mushrooms, sauteeing for about 15 more minutes.
  • Add all condiments to sub rolls, place cheese on the sub rolls and then top with the tofu steak.
